Review by Eino:
Wings is not the old unreleased (though widely traded) Amiga WWI-flight simulator by Cinemaware: it's yet another of those Finnish games about flying little (usually v-shaped) ships around in a cave, properly armed for a violent contest of skill... in the best Sopwith tradition. Essentially, Wings is a multiplayer match-up, though you can play alone, rescuing your troopers and then returning to a landing pad. It's rather boring, though, compared to fighting your friends, which on the other hand is tremendously entertaining.

The package includes: A nice variety of weapons, including the ingenious, legendary Harpoon. Selection of different ships - though not that different. Up to eight players simultaneously, four human on one PC - with a serial cable or modem play available, as well as an okay AI. Uncompromised playability, with properly customisable options to suit your ship-blasting needs. Lots of good levels, and a converter to create your own out of bitmaps.

Presentation has given away to playability, graphics are not bad but rather functional. SFX department neither impressess nor fails. Music's mostly sub-average (with a few decent tunes), but the fact you can stuff the MUSIC directory with your favourite .MODs and .S3Ms makes up for it.
