Super Solvers: Mission T.H.I.N.K.
In contrast to earlier Super Solvers games focuses on helping kids develop skills only in one area (e.g. algebra, math, and so on), Mission T.H.I.N.K. is much more of an integrated learning experience for kids ages 8 and up, as it encompasses science, math, and other subjects. The game is packed with hundreds of mind-boggling puzzles and mazes, plus a five-level strategy game that will take a while to finish. Kids will have a great time as they navigate through the factory's warehouse, collecting game pieces and solving 5 different types of puzzles. There are several mini-games, all of which are very enjoyable: in Viewpoints, kids work with 2-D drawings of 3-D objects. In Auto Logic (the best mini-game), kids build cars that meet the requirements by using logic and the use of "and, or, and no" statements. Plan-a-Path requires mental mapping and planning to get a ball into the hole. Rush Order teaches spatial recognition at customizable speeds. And finally, InVENNtory Alert has children sorting toys into Venn Diagrams. There are over 200 puzzles in all, and they automatically get more challenging as kids progress through the levels. Due to the impressive range of subjects the game covers, the number of skills kids will develop is staggering: they will learn, for example, mental mapping skills, logic, use of diagrams, spatial visualization skills, and many more. Definitely a must have for any family with children, and adjustable skill level also makes it a great game for any adult wanting to refresh basic skills or your knowledge of Venn Diagrams. Two thumbs up!
